On the calendar, make sure you dedicate time for workouts as a mandatory activity. Workout time is (must) include in your weekly routine. In this way, your body and mind will already be programmed to have workouts as part of the program.
2) Be realistic
You know yourself and what you like to do better than everyone else. If you love sleeping then you should not schedule your workout at 5:30 am. If you're too tired to go for workouts after work then you should look for a preferable time for your workouts.
It is ideal to work out on average 3 times a week always adjust your schedule basing on whatever realities are on the ground.
3) Mix things up
As an example, most men love to work on the upper body. Just because it's what you like doesn't mean that you should work out your upper body all that time. Mix it up, once in a while do lower body. The more all-round your workout is, the better for your body.

5) Get a work out team or partners
Staying consistent is extremely hard. That is why everyone needs a workout team. On some of those days when its a little cold, it may be hard for you to get out of bed to work out on your own. That is why you need some workout partners. These people should motivate you to get out of bed and work it.
